This weekend didn't bring any tropical vacations for the Shivelys, but it did bring a lot of time in the car traveling from place to place.
Saturday afternoon took us to commencement at Waldron High School for Jacob to say goodbye to some of his favorite (and an extra-excited goodbye to some of his least favorite) students. We had to sneak out of the graduation early to meet my in-laws at their house to leave for our next stop. We made the hour and a half trip south with them to Floyds Knobs, Indiana (yes that really is the name of a city) for our friend Jeff's wedding. Jeff was a groomsman in our wedding and it was nice to see him and a few others we hadn't seen in the last few years since our cermony. We hope Jeff and Lauren are very happy together! We got home late Saturday night and definitely slept good after our afternoon in the car.
Today we had to get up and go to church, caught part of some of Jacob's younger baseball players playing a summer game at the Babe Ruth park, and then head to Greenwood for a graduation open house. My cousin Austin graduated from Roncalli Saturday and his open house was this afternoon. Tonight I went with Jacob to church to hear him practice with Ben and Leah for their performance at their cousin's wedding this coming weekend. More details on that ceremony later.
So the excitement of the weekend is over, what will I do with myself Monday? I don't know if I can handle staying home with nothing to do!
