We survived the last day of school and work day! Hooray! We ended up doing some odds and ends and puzzles and games to pass the time on Tuesday. I even had the kiddos help me clean up the room Tuesday afternoon (I know it sounds like I'm a slave driver, but they loved it!), they helped take things off the walls, wash desks and closets, straighten up books, and their favorite task of all-crawling around picking up trash and staples off the floor and doing trash can duty. They even wanted to skip recess and help clean. Crazy kids!
Today we had work day. My principal was extra nice and told us we didn't have to come in until 9. What a break! I got everything cleaned, sorted, and thrown away (I seriously had a mountain of trash) and then checked out and came home. Another school year in the books!

YAY!! So what are your summer plans?
Ya know.. the school that I'll be at next year.. well, they rent their building out to Head Start during the summer.. so the rooms have to be EMPTIED! All teacher stuff, all closets.. desks, chairs, tables, etc.. EVERY YEAR! I can't imagine the work!
