Weekend Craziness

It seems lately as if we work all week and then frantically try to knock a few things off of our to-do list over the weekend. Even though we love some of these things we have to do. I think the crazy pace we've been going will soon catch up with us. Thankfully the end of the school year is right around the corner, hopefully freeing up a lot of our time. This weekend we kept busy with some important tasks:

**We traveled to Marion for Jacob's master's graduation from Indiana Wesleyan. I think it felt a little weird for him to be graduating from a school he had never been to and had completed completely online, but I think he felt a great amount of pride and achievement when they called his name and he walked across the stage. I know I was proud of him! He definitely deserved it!

**I got to spend my Saturday morning at the hospital lab taking the 3-hour glucose tolerance test. When I went to the doctor Wednesday, I took the 1-hour and barely failed, so I decided to get the long version done as quickly as possible. Hopefully these results come back better. It was definitely not how I had planned to spend my entire Saturday morning, but it will all be worth it in the end.

**This afternoon we started work on Baby Shively room. We cleaned everything out, Jacob and his dad taped everything, and we will hopefully begin painting later this afternoon/evening. Hopefully it will turn out like we have envisioned it! Here's a before look:

As for Baby Shively, everything except the glucose checked out perfectly at the doctor this week. He has been moving around a lot, and I am pretty sure he had hiccups a few nights ago. He moves strong enough know that you can see my stomach jump around sometimes. I only gained 1 pound since my last monthly check-up so I was happy about that. I've been really trying to practice a little better portion control. I did find out I have to have get an Rh Negative shot next week, but that should be relatively painless (let's hope!). My next appointment is in three weeks, and then I get to start visiting every two weeks. It seems as if he will be here any day, and there is still so much to do!

I do have a favor to ask: We are trying to line up a good babysitter to begin in January. If you know of anyone in Shelbyville, Morristown, and the general area, please let me know, I am already worried that we won't be able to find anyone. I had planned to contact a lady, close to school, but found out she is going back to work next year, so it's back to the drawing board. Thanks!
