Today was another Spring-like day in S-ville. At least the first few days of the season seem to be a weather success (my first graders were very excited when we discussed yesterday being the first day of spring, they even started chanting, "Good-bye Winter! Good-bye Winter!") Let's hope the forecasters are wrong as they predict flurries for Easter. How depressing would that be!
We didn't have school today in honor of Good Friday. How we get Good Friday off in a public school system is beyond me, but I'm not complaining! We got to hang around the APT today, sleep in, and watch the best team in the country the Butler Bulldogs whip up on those boys from Southern Alabama. Boy, did they do this BU grad proud. Let's just hope they continue shooting the threes like that when they meet up with Tennessee on Sunday! GO DAWGS!

Go Dawgs! We got to see only parts of the game, but it was good to see them do well. We were excited to see the Drake Bulldogs in the tourney, but very upset when they lost. It's kind of sad that Drake was the Iowa team to cheer for this year...not Iowa, not Iowa State, not Northern Iowa...but Drake!
Anywho...have a great weekend and a happy Easter.
Did I tell you that Chris knows Matt Howard? Matt grew up in Connersville, and Chris knows him and most of his 9 siblings. In fact, Matt's older brother Luke is a roomie for one of Chris's best friends, Chad! We've found a reason to cheer for Butler too... it's neat when you've known one of the players since childhood!
