Last night we went to the Sectional finals in Edinburgh. Boy did it bring back memories! The Mohawks were victorious, even though I still can't bring myself to cheer for their basketball team. I guess it's the Spartan coming out in me, but I just can't do it! I even have trouble at school when we go to pep sessions at the high school. They play that Morristown Fight Song and everybody stands up and claps, and I feel like a traitor. Oh well, I guess I'll get used to it some day!
After the game we stopped at the Willard in Franklin with Tim and his wife Jen (Tim is another teacher at WHS). We had a fabulous time! They are some of the few coworkers we have that aren't old enough to be our parents or grandparents. It was nice to visit with people our own age! We sat down, started, talking, and the next thing we knew it was almost midnight!
Well, I've got to go for now. We've got to stop by parents for a book I need for class tomorrow. Have a great Monday!

I completely understand! My SWHS days are completely behind me. My children will NEVER go there... and I'll have to learn school spirit for another school entirely. However. I am not rooting on the COMPETITION!! Geez... and two of our utmost hated rivals!! Oh what a pickle you are in! You need to make sure your kids go to SW that way you aren't a total traitor!! :)
That's why you move to a different state...you don't have to cheer for an old rival!
