We had an unexpected, but pleasant visitor tonight. My sister, Laura! (I know she's thrilled about making it onto the blog. I offered to post her picture, but she declined! I know it's hard to believe!) She just got back from Hawaii today and was all tan and rested. How could she! Anyway, it was great to get to visit with her on her way back to Muncie, and a nice surprise at that!
In other news from the APT, we haven't had too many exciting things going on. Saturday we went to a good new restaurant in Greenwood, Yats. We had been to their location in Broad Ripple a few times, and loved it, so we were excited when they opened one in Greenwood. They serve cajun/creole cuisine in a sort-of fast food atmosphere with really awesome bread (I've never had bread quite like it!) Their Broad Ripple restaurant had a little more personality, but the food at Greenwood is just as good! I would definintely stop by if you are ever in the neighborhood!
Jacob had a meeting at Morristown High School this morning, so he went to school with me and got to see my first graders in action for a few minutes. I think he was surprised with their excitement and how dramatic they can be. Some just stared with their mouths open, some told him random things like how they think their mom is going to have a baby, and one tried to give him a secret handshake. It was definitely a quick welcome to first grade. We never have a dull moment!

ahahha.. aren't kiddos the funniest??? I was in a first grade class today.. and the things they say! But get this.. last week I was in a Spanish speaking kindergarten class (scary I know.. I can't speak Spanish!) but I had a little girl tell me how clean my teeth were.. in spanish.. so another little girl had to translate for me! :)
Don't you dislike those people that go to Hawaii and then come back and rub it in other's faces? {sorry, if I was like that}
Hope you enjoy your day off! Doug and Dallas sure are enjoying the basketball games today (through the backs of their eyelids).
