In the last post I wrote about my sadness about feeling too old for the roller coasters last weekend, I also felt even older when I saw a newly hired teacher at school today (I've always been the baby at each school I've taught at), but tonight I got a huge boost to my ego. Thank goodness!
We go to "piloga" (a combination of yoga and pilates) class at the athletic club usually on Wednesday mornings since we have been home all summer, but today I had a training session to be at at school so I wasn't able to go. Jacob went by himself this morning, and I decided to go to the evening class, which I hadn't been to before. There were only four people in the class tonight and after we were finished, the instructor asked me where I had been that morning. I told her I was a teacher, blah, blah, ,blah. One of the other girls asked how long I had been teaching and I said this would be my fifth year (time flies!) and they couldn't believe I was that old! They said I looked so much younger than that. Hallelujah! Some times the littlest things make your day!

Ha! I realized last year I was getting old when I met some of the first year teachers (who all looked like babies to me) at our first faculty meeting last year. I guess it sneaks up on you!
