I survived another first day of school! Hooray! The start of school really crept up on me this year. I seems like just yesterday I was saying goodbye to my soon-to-be second graders, and today I welcomed a new group of first grade babies into my "nest". Its hard to believe this is my sixth year. Man I'm getting old! Today actually went really well, I just hope the goodness continues when everyone comes back tomorrow tired from the first day!
(all of my students names ended up in the knothole of the tree)

Counting down already? Maybe you should get one of those tickers like I use for tracking Dallas' age and Gertie's due date!
I'm glad another 1st day of 1st grade went well. And, I like your theme for the year...very creative!
