**Friday night we went to Shelbyville High School's end-of-year staff outing to the Indianapolis Indians game at Victory Field. We had a picnic dinner at the park, visited with other staff members, watched the game, and then enjoyed the fireworks afterwards (they have them every Friday night). It was a great time. If you haven't been to a game-you should go. It is great, cheap, family friendly entertainment!
**We were invited to a couple of graduation open houses for Jacob's former Waldron students on Saturday. It seems like yesterday we were having my own open house, but what a rude awakening to discover that was 10 years ago! This year's graduates were only 8 years old then. Boy do I feel old!
**Sunday afternoon was the big Shively/Whitten baby shower. This one was hosted by Ashley, Leah, and Cathy. They held it at the coffeehouse in Franklin, and it was really, really nice. There wasn't a huge crowd, so it was nice to get to visit with everyone and have a great time. Baby Shively got a lot of nice gifts. We've decided he'll be a well-dressed little guy. I think by the time we're done he'll have an outfit for everyday!
Checking out the new highchair from Grandma and Grandpa Shively and Great Grandpa Whitten.
What an exhausting, but exciting weekend! Now, what to do for fun this weekend?...

I vote that you rest! Because in a few short weeks, you'll have a beautiful little boy that wants to eat every 2 hours...
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, I'm going to side with Melissa and say you rest up after such a jam-packed weekend :)
I also have to agree that Indian's games are a lot of fun. We went two summers ago while visiting. We have a Single A team near us that we like to go watch...again - cheap, family fun!
How fun!! :) Since you've gotten a lot of clothes already... and I hate looking through a registry (yes.. I am THAT lazy!) is there anything in particular that you really want / need prior to the arrival of Baby Shively?
PS... I don't think I will be able to come to your baby shower :( We have a huge weekend that weekend through the bank (which we are now both employed) and I don't know if I'll be able to skip out on it. So.. once again.. :(
