- This afternoon I finally turned in my last assignment for my master's class this semester. That means if I pass the research project, I'll graduate in two weeks. Hallelujah! This has been a two year project in the making!
- Only five more weeks of school-but there is much to be done. I still have to plan for maternity leave (and decide how long I'm going to take off), do all of our end of the year assessments, and generally survive these last few weeks. It already seems like the natives are getting restless!
- With new home ownership comes yard work-something you take for granted in apartment living. My dad did such a good job putting our yard in (and fertilizing it this spring) that we have been busy mowing and trimming. We can't wait until the fertilizer slows down a bit so our poor new mower can get a break!
- Jacob's been helping coach the freshman baseball team at SHS. It has been a full time after school job. Back to being a baseball widow for me! We look forward to Saturday afternoons and Sundays when we actually get to see each other!
Perhaps the most important "project" of all is the countdown to Baby Shively. It seems like it has been in fast forward the past few weekends. We have been trying to make decisions on his room (we ordered his crib and changing table yesterday and picked out a paint color), register for baby gear, pick a name (still stuck on that project), and all things baby. I have a doctor's appointment this week-I get to take the hour long glucose test (let's hope I pass!)-to check on his progress. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes.
Hopefully as everything wraps up I can get back to the blogging world more often!

Yea! Let the countdown begin until you finish your masters degree!
I'm glad all is going well with Baby Boy. Best of luck with the glucose test. I'm sure you will be fine...just do your normal routine as far as eating (don't fast before).
YAY for the end of school nearing!! So.. I know that I could count it up, but I'm lazy.. when are you due? I bet you are excited! I think you should name the baby... Ethan.. or Edward.. or Ekalidhn. Ekalidhn is my fave! :) Just putting in my two cents worth! (And yes.. I did make up that name! Beautiful huh?)
Missy, Still making up those beautiful names after all of these years? You have quite the knack for it!
By the way, our due date is July 23. Jacob is hoping he arrives a little early so he can have more time at home with us before school starts.
Maybe you will get lucky and will have him a little bit early. Take it from me (Zach's birthday is July 26) - being at the end of your 3rd trimester in the summer heat is NO FUN AT ALL!!!
Hopefully you'll have an easier time with it!
