Sorry about the horrid delay in my blog posts. I have been reading about and checking up on everyone else's news regularly, but have been neglecting my own. Shame on me! Our little Shively family had a good Christmas break, we stayed busy through the week on Christmas with family gatherings, and then didn't know what to do with ourselves the following week without homework, holiday shopping, or school to plan for! We celebrated my birthday with a trip to Cheeseburger in Paradise with my parents and my mom made me my favorite chocolate with peanut butter frosting cake. We have enjoyed spending time in the new house. All of the boxes unpacked, and everything put away, but we still have a lot of decorating and shopping to do.
This week we had a weird week back at work with snow cancelling school on Thursday, and providing the beloved two-hour delay on Friday. Jacob finishes his master's in a few weeks (hallelujah!) and I start my last class on Monday but won't be finished until May. We have made our last payments to Indiana Wesleyan and Ball State and are ready to be finished! Right now I'm in the midst of trying to plan something for Jacob's big milestone birthday next month. If you have any great suggestions please share!
Lastly, but certainly not least, we have big, life changing news to share. We were happy to give out families a great gift for Christmas. Since all of our families got the news, we are happy to share it with our blogging friends. Next year there will be a little Shively sharing in the festivities! Everyone is very excited to be new grandparents, great grandparents, and aunts and uncles! We look forward to meeting our new bundle of joy in late July (right now our due date is the 23rd)! So far everything has gone smoothly, I haven't had any morning sickness, just an extreme appetite and a growing waistline. We had a another good check-up at the doctor on Monday and love to hear that little heart beating! We are truly blessed!

Congratulations!!!! I'm so excited for you and Jacob. You two are going to be great parents. I'm glad things are going well and that you didn't have to experience morning sickness. I can't wait to see and hear about your progress!
