One morning we used our free time to visit the Reina Sofia, an art museum focusing mostly on modern art. It is home to many of Picasso's works.
One day we traveled to Toledo (not the one in Ohio), to see Spain's first capital. The views from outside the city were fabulous.
We had the traditional Spanish seafood dish paella for lunch. It is saffron, rice, shrimp, calamari, mussels, and chicken. You know your shrimp are fresh when they still have eyes!
We went to see a cathedral. The city was celebrating Corpus Christi, a religious holiday honoring the body of Christ. They parade a communion wafer through the streets in this elaborate parade. Everyone had their homes decorated, and there were people everywhere!
